Here's a little spreadsheet based on all the gas receipts I collected during the trip. It's probably no surprise that the most expensive gas was in California, and it was at a place in the basin that was 100 miles from anything. At least there was an In-N-Out next door. The cheapest gas was in Podunk, AZ. Most of the cheaper gas was in the rural gaps between the big cities.
